ahahaha. finally finished! but man, now that i see it on screen i can see all these mistakes... :P

so last thursday/friday i sat at home and had a little steampunk obsession moment... not sure if i'm already over it but it was fun.  :)

i can't believe that i'm totally dominating english right now. i got my first writing response back and got a check PLUS. underlined twice!!(!!) okay, maybe i need a life but honestly, any bit of positive reinforcement right now when it comes to studying and schoolwork is greatly appreciated, especially during these hard times.. and by hard times i mean midterm season.

i felt pretty good about the midterm today, too, even though i took the whole class period to finish. i can't wait to get my walking portfolio back too; i think i did a pretty decent job putting it together. :) though if i'd worked on it sooner, i might have put it into the smaller format that i originally wanted. whatever, still have the next five entries to do better. i really should be worried about the writing responses i have left to do... i set the bar too high, now i'll feel the extra pressure to do just as well for those. -___-;;

i found this old comic from high school with "swamp monster" crawling out of the.. swamp.. with a squid on her head, hahaha... i should have scanned it but forgot. instead, you get my modern reinterpretation.

my roommates and i wanted a new "family photo" for the year, so we had a photoshoot today in the back-hills on my school's property.

there were better ones in the set, but tyra would still be proud.

hmm yes, i'm judging myself too..

this is my second Feed the Art Belly submission piece, painted in response to our second topic, "when did this storm begin" (which i chose, yay :D). it could still use some more work in various areas, and i originally wanted her to have a bloody nose.. so i think i still want to try that out. but honestly i'm just glad i was able to salvage it from the disaster that it was last night when i was working on it.

on another note... Wake Up the Sleepers is AMAZING. i love kill hannah so much. i've been listening to this CD on repeat since i got the digital version yesterday.. can't wait for my deluxe fan package to get here! 8D *dork*
